Facebook and School

I, like 800 million other people, am on Facebook. Now, average user, says Facebook's statistics site, has 130 friends! Personally, I only have 61 friends, so someone has my share as well. No one can be real friends with 130 people. And when people post stuff like " Urgh that just ruined my day," I have no idea what ruined your day, and, chances are, neither do your 128 other friends.

Anyway, today I have biology midterms. With tenth graders! What fun. Which brings up an interesting subject. My school is so mediocre that there is no honors science. In ninth grade, you are supposed to take Earth Science, which is what I've been doing since kindergarten. So I decided to take biology with tenth graders. Hey, maybe I should start new one-liners: My school is so mediocre....that 49 people made high honors, and and another 30 made honors in ninth grade. There are only 120 students in the ninth grade! That means that about 65% of students made honors or high honors. High honors means that a student got all A's, honors that a student got no more than 3 B's, and nothing lower than a B. Doesn't it seem wrong that half the class got nearly perfect grades? Perfect grades should be reserved for people that are genuinely smart or genuinely hardworking. But at my school, EVERYONE is told that they are FABULOUS. Poor kids. When they enter the real world, they will be soooo disappointed.

Well, I should stop blogging and start studying, so bye for now.

Mission Statement

Well, this is my first ever blog post. So before anyone gets any ideas, this was not created solely for the purpose of your reading pleasure, but rather to let me rant about whatever bothers me. Also, I should add that these are my personal views.

Now that I've introduced you to my blog, I can start complaining. Midterms are this week, so guess who's stressing out? That's right, ME! I have developed a HUGE stress pimple right on my forehead. And yup, it's bright red and painful. Yesterday was math, today history. Math was actually pretty easy, but history was HARD! There were two parts, a multiple choice and a DBQ (document based question). I'm pretty sure that I did well on the multiple choice, but the DBQ was hard. The question was stupid, and some of the documents were only slightly related to the topic.

On the way back from midterms, I saw two kids that I know standing around in shorts and T-shirts without jackets. Here in the northeast, it is pretty cold this time of year. How can people stand it? Also, I see girls walking around school wearing short skirts, tank tops, and uggs. It isn't summer around here! Granted, it's much warmer inside, but at some point during the day, you have to go outside. Then what happens? Do you just freeze? I would.

Well, that's all for now. More later, but that wraps it up for my first blog!
